Every so often we all have them, you know those low energy days. The desire may be there but your body is just not firing on all cylinders. These kind of days are maddening because you can think of the 101 things you need to do and accomplish but your body can’t keep up with your mind. Whether it be from overwork, burnout, hormones, exercise or your period. It’s inevitable to fight so in days like this I like to take little wins and turn them into exciting momentum so that way I don’t get derailed in my goals.

What I mean is find 1 or 2 small things that you can accomplish and check them off in a box. It can be something you know you are already going to do anyways, and that makes it less of a fight on you. That is how you take a low energy day and turn it into a win. I made a huge list of all the things I want to start working towards over the next few weeks. Now there was 1 thing on that list that I could check off and so I found time to make it happen. Once I completed that task it boosted my spirits because it’s in alignment with what I am trying to create plus I was able to check off one of my tasks. By doing this you give positive reinforcement for yourself instead of berating yourself for not doing everything on your list. 

Remember when you make something a negative then everything else surrounding it will be negative in return. If you turn it into a positive then you build up that positive momentum around you and make even those low energy days a huge success. We already beat up on ourselves enough, why would you do that on a day you already feel like shit or run down or not 100%? I mean if that’s your thing then have at it, but positive reinforcement is 100x more effective than fear mongering. And remember you enjoy what you do or are doing so don’t turn it into something you dread or resent because you negative pressure on it. 

What are some things that help you on a low energy day? What things do you implement or do in order to keep the positivity flowing? Remember not every day will be an A game day, you may need to take a break or only accomplish 1 thing rather than 7. Just know that it’s okay, accept yourself where you are at, forgive yourself, and be kind. You get to change how you greet yourself everyday and it all starts with you. Either you can be mean, or you can be kind and show yourself some compassion. And my hope is you chose the compassion. Have a great night my friend.
