Holiday Kindness
So I decided to participate in the reddit Santa gift exchange. This makes me so happy because people all over the country (and world, I only did country.) are exchanging gifts with fellow reddit users. I got my Santa today and boy was I excited and sprung to action. Reading his likes, dislikes, story it actually turned my inner nerd’s gears thinking cap on and went after it. He did make a note if his Santa was bill gates that he wanted this tent because he is a hiker in the color dirt brown. Well I am not bill gates but I still want to give him a gift that makes him smile! What I did was included quick dry towels since he is a hiker, a backpack, my favorite book The Name of the Wind, and a pair of dirt brown wool socks since he has a thing for wool. I will be sure to include a little Christmas card and some fun things.
What could you do this year for a holiday exchange? Could you create a cookie trade or even a secret santa gift exchange? Christmas is a time to share love, to share hope, and to help others find optimism and joy. You could do something like a friend a snail mail Christmas card, or even go volunteer time at a local soup kitchen pending covid guidelines. There are so many things you could do this holiday season that really evoke the spirit of what this holiday represents, joy, love and faith. A lot of the times we forget how much others may be suffering or not have the means to give or share, so please in this time be kind and use compassion. It is one of the hardest times of the year so be sure to find gratitude for your loved ones, your life, and your home. You never know what tomorrow could bring, these moments are precious, allow them to fill you with joy and love!
I see so many people coming together during this time of the year and this brings so much light to my heart. We are here to help each other grow, to be supported and to shine in love. So this season I want you to find your inner cheer and celebrate. Help someone else or just light up their day. One small act of kindness is the greatest thing we can give, it ripples out like waves. You never know how you will effect someone, or the world!
Today was a 8.
So the Month of December is a bit difficult for me with time management. I am finishing up school, and moving 2x. I may miss a day here or one there depending on how things are going. I hope in those days I miss, that you find solace in knowing I am seeing love and positive energy your way, and thinking about this blog. Thank you for being here in my journey, I am truly grateful for it!
