Projects

This is not my finished project. This is just the one I am currently working on!

Have you ever scrolled through social media and found some kind of project you absolutely love but never do? Do you forget about it and just keep scrolling? Or do you actually take the time and energy to hike up your boot straps and hop to it? Well that is what I did. I found a gardening project and I decided that instead of just saying the words I was like no I am doing this. What made this different this time. Well I saw it and was like yes I am doing this. Then I actually started gathering the materials I would need to do it.

So today we spent the afternoon grabbing the lumber and then measuring and cutting it to the appropriate measurements. That took us all afternoon because we had to measure a few times and then cut. I was so proud though, driving from the lumber mill because I thought wow I am actually doing this. It was always wish lists and forgotten ideas through the scrolls. How about you? How many projects do you keep passing by just to scroll or watch a tv show you have watched for the zillionth time? Why not pick one project and give yourself the time to do it. I mean shit, right now we have nothing but time if you can’t work.

Everyday I see so many crafty projects and things I want to do. Instead I waste time playing video games, reading, or watching tv. All the while doing social media, except not as much lately. I go on only to look at my one unemployment group to see if there is any news. Still waiting on that. It’s been a while. But what is one thing you want to do? Seriously dedicate some time to the project even if you need to ask someone for help or tools, go outside of your normal. In the past I would just give up because I didn’t have a saw or it seemed like way to much work. I know it’s not as satisfying as whatever else your doing right? WRONG! I found more enjoyment today working on this project then I have in a while. That is why I urge you to hop to it!

My project is not done, but we are planning to work on it more on Monday. We just need to put all the pieces together. Then I will have my own bucket garden! I tried using the soil out here but the plants I had just died. Normally I have a green thumb but out here if I wanted that garden I would need way to much stuff to get that soil and space right. That’s why when I saw this project I was like yes, this is the answer. I will post my finished picture in a post on Monday or Tuesday.

Don’t have a project? Well what are some things you like to do? Do you have any hobbies you would like to bring to the next level? Is it creative or physical? Can you focus on just one thing until you either finished it or bring yourself up 1% everyday? If it is something like lets say hand stand walks then everyday practice that. Fall, roll over, make mistakes, but get back up. Over time that 1% you don’t see while your in it will turn into something incredible! It will look like an overnight success to others looking in, they won’t see the progress. So pick something and dedicate your time to it. Make it a priority. Don’t keep scrolling, don’t keep sitting on the couch watching tv. Get up and do it. No amount of words will make that action real without you actually doing it. Words are words but actions lead to successes. Which are you going to chose?
