First Official Day
Today was my first official day at the cafe. Now let me tell you I am so glad that I took this job. Everyone there is so sweet and friendly, and the atmosphere is fast paced. I am so glad I followed through and did this. I am going to say this to you right now. If you have something that you are nervous about, afraid of, or anxious, I want you to do it! Seriously I don’t want to hear excuses or anything just do it. Because for me that is what I felt. I was nervous, I was feeling like I was being trapped because I committed to an actual job, but I got done at 320ish. I got to socialize so much, move non stop, and felt like I was part of a team. Working today at the cafe humbled me, and made me so grateful for my massage business.
In my massage practice I have grown and built up a clientele, and a price point that took me years to get to. Working at the cafe made me truly see how successful I was, and was even applauded by members there for my achievement. It was also so great because everyone there has full time jobs as well. Some take this for the exact same reasons as me, and that filled me with such joy. I am excited to get to know everyone there.
Are you uncertain about something in your life. I want you to make a pro’s and con’s list. Write everything down about it. Then look at that list and rip it up and do it anyways. Life is way to short to hold back on trying new experiences. You can spend your life analyzing everything or you can actually just try it out. Like if you are thinking about changing careers then try one day a week in a field you like before you make the leap. Maybe that will be something that gives you the courage to realize your happiness is what matters most. For me I love massage but I need something to humble me and make me stay in love with massage. Variety, and socialization. And that is what the cafe offers me. It helps break up my week and gives me a chance to really fall in love with my work again. To see how I have worked so hard these past 5 years in my business and now I have something big. (News to come in mid September!!) But I have created a wonderful life for myself. I just needed to experience other things to see how lucky I am.
You can chose to stay still or you can chose to move forward. Life is ever changing and you can move with it or get left out. Just remember you make the choice. So make good girl or boy choices, push yourself outside your comfort zone! Try new things. Because is watching that rerun really making you happy? Or could you embark on a scary wonderful journey and learn something about yourself?
